Lindey's

After 4 years, finally got a chance to visit Lindey's. I had high hopes, but was left disappointed. The ambience is good, free vallet parking was helpful. But the service and food were not upto the mark. I won't say that anything was bad, but I had higher expectations from a place like this.

Great food, service, and atmosphere. One of Columbus' finest.

Lindey's is great! The Tempura Cauliflower appetizer is a must anytime we go there. Perfect for lunch, dinner, work meetings, anything. Everyone is always satisfied. And if you have the opportunity, the patio is one of the best I have ever seen. Hot chicken sandwich and burger are always a great go to for lunch. Their pasta dishes are a favorite for dinner time

Fastest service I've ever received at an actual restaurant. The service was amazing and the steak was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back.

The restaurant is very suitable for romance and even for business meetings. It was also a great atmosphere here. Food and drinks🍹was so delicious.

Great atmosphere and place for a gathering. Had the chicken and waffles for my entree and was really good, but the tempura cauliflower was where it was at! They were crispy and had a little kick. So good!!!

Such a great restaurant fixture in the Columbus culinary scene. We had our department holiday luncheon there today and as expected they did a wonderful job. The service was excellent and the our food was well prepared. To start I had a cup of lobster bisque, superb with a touch of heat. My main course was their chicken salad. A bed of bitter greens, grape tomatoes and grated parmesan with a light dressing topped with a breaded chicken cutlet, almost like chicken katsu. Light and fresh with a bit of decadence. For dessert, a truly decadent chocolate cake. I would definitely recommend Lindey's for any company event.

This was our final stop for the evening. We went there for a nightcap to the outside bar and have a blast! Ian was working the bar and he was funny, quick, and served up some amazing drinks. The setting was perfect, the bar was beautiful. Our crew will be back for sure!

We had a seminar at Lindey's. Special accommodations were made for us through reservations for the size of our group. The food was exquisite. The service was exceptional. Seminar was informative to top it off...

Amazing. The food was amazing, Zachariah worked hard to make us comfortable and well taken care of. I'm definitely coming back. 💕

Had a delicious dinner here for our last night in Columbus. I ordered a pomegranate mule, which was so good I ordered another! For my entree, I opted for Australian Sea Bass which was pretty good. I will admit I envied my husband's choice if steak fritters, as it was most delicious as was the sauce that accompanied it. Our table was a bit too close to the hostess station for comfort, but otherwise a very nice atmosphere for dinner.

Charming old building in a historic district on brick paved streets. Parking is very sparse but they have a complimentary valet. Very posh and great for date night. I recommend the filet mignon, crawfish stuffed quail, the tempura peppers with spicy slaw, and the maple bourbon semifreddo.

Good food and excellent service. Also nice interior. However I was disappointed they were out of the beer I ordered so I can't give five stars. Especially given the upscale nature. I was one of the first people to arrive that evening so they must have been out for a while - how hard would it be sending someone over to Kroger and restock another 6 bottles? Or cross it off the menu if they won't have it anymore permanently?

Our new fav restaurant!! The ambience, food, service is unmatched. Our server Will made sure the event we were celebrating was unforgettable. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and do try this trout.

Lindy's is hands down the consistently best restaurant in Columbus. It never disappoints in either food or service. Everything, all three course and cocktails were spectacular.

Lindey’s is one of our very favorite restaurants in Ohio. Since the early 1980’s, we have had luscious dinners, the creamiest creme brûlée, and perfect, perfect Manhattans. Staff and decor classy and welcoming, Lindey’s is authentic and a delight.

My five star review is admittedly a little biased by sentimental reasons, as Lindey's has been a destination for special occasions in my family for many years. It isn't cheap and the portions aren't huge, plus the German Village location, while quaint, means parking can be difficult (though a valet service is offered). That said, I would stand behind my five star rating as Lindey's has a wonderful atmosphere, consistently great service and some of the best food you will taste in the Columbus area. I have never had a better crab cake anywhere (and I've been various places in New England and elsewhere on the East Coast) and the French onion soup is fantastic. Definitely a place not to be missed.

It's always great to walk into a place, be greeted with familiar faces and great service. I was stopping in for a quick sink and stayed a few hours. It's a bonus when the waiters know their menu and can make suggestions that make ya stay. I didn't photo what I was eating because I forgot! Next time.

The hosts and servers are very nice for the most part. When it comes to recommending what drinks or dinners are good, we just got a bunch of random things with no reason why we should try it. The food itself really is nothing special. I tried the shrimp and lobster risotto, it really did not have much flavor. My wife's clam chowder was thin and somewhat flavorless. To sum it up quickly this is not worth the money you spend.

Had a wonderful birthday dinner complete with a candle in my chocolate torte. Our server was awesome and is the first person we've come across while dining in the Columbus area to be knowledgeable about wine. It's the details that mean so much. Our food was delicious and I always love the atmosphere (we sat outside). Will definitely be back.

Food looks and tastes great. I highly recommend this place for an important dinner or business dinner. Happy hour prices are good if you’re looking to go but not spend a lot. It’s at the bar only. The steak was phenomenal but was disappointed with the deserts.

Came here on a Saturday for brunch. The restaurant opened at 11AM and there was a line to get in. Fortunately we had a reservation and had let them know it was our anniversary. They offer complimentary valet parking service (although we’d noticed this after we parked about a block away). The atmosphere was great and the service was good. The chicken and waffles was amazing. A burst of all flavors spicy, sweet, salty, fried, yumminess. The Lindey’s eggs were very flavorful as well. The rosemary potatoes had an excellent spicy finish. Very pleased with our experience here. Would eat here again and would recommend it.

First time there after several recommendations and it's no wonder why it's one of the top restaurants in Columbus. German Village is made better by Lindeys' atmosphere. The food is incredible; not a single entree or appetizer in our 6-top was below average. All the cocktails were too notch, heavy pours. Don't let the prices deter you because you will leave satisfied and wanting to come back.

If you're looking for a romantic setting, then this is the place. The lighting is perfect. The rotisserie chicken and the filet was packed with flavor. Don't forget to save room for the creme brulee!

Stopped in to Lindey's yesterday for their updated curbside takeout. With the delicious food we ordered from their menu, they even included a roll of toilet paper! :) Can't wait 'til this is all over because Lindey's Happy Hour is the best around!

AJ was a fabulous server! He took his time and made sure we had everything we needed. He also described the dishes and was very personable. The food was outstanding! Definitely stop by and check this gem out. I would recommend it for a romantic dinner or quality family time. Beautiful.

Super great experience! Diana was an awesome server. Food was delicious - recommendations were on point. The cauliflower and calamari appetizers were excellent. Steak Frites was phenomenal! Great experience all around. I would not recommend the cookie dessert. Cookie was hard and edges were very crunchy. In fairness, we did not ask Diana for a recommendation and they cook the cookie in a cast iron plate. If we had it to do over again, we would ask what they recommend. Still had a great evening and would come back again!

Lindsey's has been around over 30 years and still draws crowds. It's definitely not as great as it use to be. Don't come for the food. The patio is the draw and one of the best in town. Free valet is a plus as street parking it's restricted.

Fantastic dining experience for brunch and dinner! Set in the heart of the gorgeous German Village, sitting outside by the fountain in the warm months is a great time.
